John is the Managing Partner and heads up our specialist Dental Division, having acted for dentists since the 1980s. He is currently Chairman of the Association of Specialist Providers to Dentists and specialises in the dental specific aspects of Practice Sales and Purchases.
John participated in no less than 10 international charity bike rides, riding thousands of miles and raising in the region of £50,000 for charity along the way.

Chris is a vastly experienced commercial property lawyer who has specialised in dental practice sales and purchases for a considerable time, including, in particular, the sale and purchase of practices with NHS contracts and/or Capitation Schemes. In addition to his specialist dental expertise, Chris also advises on planning issues relating to the use of dental practice premises.
Chris is also qualified as a holder of the Wines and Spirits Education Trust Intermediate Certificate!

Thomas was born and raised in Yorkshire and attended Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Wakefield. He graduated from Durham University with a degree in Law and then completed the Legal Practice Course at York College of Law. He is experienced in dental corporate transactions with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts and drafting the full range of commercial agreements including Shareholders Agreements and Partnership Agreements.
Thomas can usually be found socialising with friends, playing golf, swimming or watching Doncaster Rovers Football Club.
Sarah Leyland

Sarah Leyland heads up our specialist employment team. Sarah graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Law with European Law. She completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York. Sarah has a varied practice covering contentious and non-contentious employment matters. She deals with Employment Tribunal cases and also advises on non contentious issues such as all aspects of disciplinary, grievance and redundancy procedures and the drafting of contracts of employment and staff handbooks. Sarah is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Sarah has been to the top of the Burj khalifa in Dubai (the tallest man made structure in the world)

Lucy is a vastly experienced commercial property lawyer who specialises in dental sales & purchases. Her experience also covers planning matters and she has spent a significant part of her career dealing exclusively with this issue for two nationally renowned firms.
In her spare time Lucy is a master baker, she regulary supplies us all with absolutely delicious treats!

Hewi joined the firm in 1999 and is a long term member of the Dental Team. She works closely alongside John and Chris in relation to dental practice sales and purchases. Hewi’s particular area of expertise lies in dealing with enquiries before the exchange of contracts, producing Practice Acquisition Reports on purchases and Disclosure Bundles for sales.
Hewi is a keen scuba diver and once swam with the biggest type of shark – a whale shark in the Maldives.
Christina Meah

Christina joined the firm in 2006 and has over 10 years’ legal experience. Christina works in the Employment Team and deals with all contentious and non-contentious matters and in particular the submission of claims, disclosure, compromise agreements and post completion matters.
Christina loves to dance and was once asked to perform in a music video!
