Richard qualified as a Solicitor in 1985 and has over 20 years' experience. In May 2002 he founded Cramer Richards.

Richard acts for both individuals and companies with special focus on small and medium businesses. Richard has gained a specialism in Sports Law and has been recognised in the Chambers Directory at Legal 500 as one of the country's leading sports lawyers. Richard is involved in charity work and is a member of the Variety Club of Great Britain.

Richard regularly appears in regional and national media as a recognised figure in Sports Law and is a frequent guest on Radio Leeds, providing expert advice to its listeners.

Clive is an experienced commercial lawyer specialising in intellectual property, sports law and media and entertainment law.

He joined Cohen Cramer as a  Consultant in October 2009, having been a partner since 1996 at Clarion Solicitors.

He is the author of “Brands: Law, Practice and Precedents” (Jordans, 2008), co-author of “Sports Business: Law, Practice and Precedents” (Jordans 1999, second edition 2005) and a contributor of sections on intellectual property and merchandising to “Sport: Law and Practice” (Butterworths 2003, second edition Tottel 2008).

Clive has been listed as a leading lawyer in the region over a number of years in intellectual property, information technology law, sports law and media and entertainment law in major guides to the profession such as The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.

He is also Chairman of Audiences Yorkshire, the audience development agency for the arts and culture sector in Yorkshire, and is a former director of Leeds Media. His clients have ranged from individuals to major companies and sports governing bodies.

Alastair is a Solicitor in the litigation team and has worked in litigation for over 10 years, locally, nationally and internationally. Alastair has been involved in a number of high profile cases including matters considered by the Court of Appeal and specialises in commercial litigation with an emphasis on media, entertainment and sporting matters.

Katie Simmonds graduated from Leeds University and completed the legal practice course at BPP Law School in Leeds. Katie has a background in commercial property and insolvency litigation and has joined the Litigation and Sports Law Department. Katie is Designate Chairman of the RNLI Yorkshire Business Branch and is actively involved in raising the charity’s profile in the Yorkshire region.
