Q.
What does "no win, no fee" mean?
A.
This means that if we do not win your case, then we are not paid a fee for the work we have done. If we do win, then any fees incurred in acting on your behalf are paid by your opponent and not by you. This way, we are able to guarantee to you that, provided you cooperate with us, then you will not pay for our services. The bill for acting for you is given to your opponent for payment. There are no exceptions to this unless your claim is for criminal injuries to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, or for compensation for injuries received in a road traffic accident, where the driver is uninsured or not traceable. In these claims, although we do act on a no win, no fee basis, as full costs are not generally paid by your opponent in these claims, then you can pay for our services by agreeing that we may take a percentage of your compensation if you win.
Q.
How long will my claim take?
A.
How long a claim lasts for depends on the type of accident you have had. Typically, cases involving whiplash claims in road traffic accidents last for a few months, whereas accidents involving more serious injuries can take a longer period. It may well be necessary to wait for your injuries to settle before finalising your claim. Whatever the circumstances, you can rest assured that we will not unduly delay your claim.
Q.
How much compensation will I receive?
A.
Take our compensation claim test to see what your claim might be worth.
Q.
Have I got a claim?
A.
If in doubt, then just contact us by telephone, or email us on the enquiry form, and we will let you know. You have 3 years from the date of the accident to issue court proceedings. If at the time of the accident you were under 18 years old, then you have until your 21st birthday to start proceedings. This may sound like a long time but we always advise clients to contact us as soon as possible after the accident, so we can work to "get the ball rolling".
Q.
Do I have to visit a Solicitor’s Office?
A.
No. We are happy to deal with your claim by telephone, post and email, depending upon what method you prefer. If however, you do wish to see us, then we will be happy to arrange an appointment at our offices or, alternatively, we can make arrangements to visit you at home or in hospital.
Q.
How do I start a Claim?
A.
Simply contact us! Complete the enquiry form and email it to us. If you prefer to speak to us, then telephone to speak to one of the Claims Team.
