Commercial coup for law firm
05 October 2009
One of Yorkshire's best known lawyers has joined Leeds-based law firm Cohen Cramer, as a consultant.
Clive Lawrence, an international authority in the fields of intellectual property, sports law and media law, joins from Leeds-based Clarion Solicitors, where he was one of the founding partners.
Mr Lawrence has written books about sports business, and most recently, the creation, exploitation and protection of brands. In 2001 he was voted Young Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year. He will begin his new role at Cohen Cramer on October 12, heading up the firm's commercial department. Mr Lawrence said: "It's a great opportunity, and I've been hugely impressed with the firm's ambition and ethos."
Richard Cramer, Cohen Cramer's joint managing partner, said: "This is a major appointment for us. It complements the progress that we are making and is a major coup for our commercial department."
