Cohen Cramer is bowled over to announce....

17 February 2010

Cohen Cramer is proud to announce its sponsorship of the up and coming cricketing all-rounder Ben Stokes of Durham CCC and England Under-19's.

Ben (18) is yet another product of the Durham Academy, whose past graduates include England stars Steve Harmison and Graham Onions.  He made his first team debut in a Friends Provident game against Surrey in May 2009 when he clean bowled the prolific Mark Ramprakash with only his third delivery.

He was voted Durham’s Young Player of the Year in 2009 before being selected in England’s Under-19 squad for the World Cup in New Zealand. Ben proved a huge success down under, claiming the Man of the Match award against India where he scored a magnificent century off 88 balls, including 4 fours and 6 sixes, and chipped in with two wickets.

Cohen Cramer Partner, Richard Cramer, said “ It is great for Cohen Cramer to be involved and associated with Ben and to help him during the early part of his career.  Ben has the potential to develop into one of the country’s top all-round cricketers. He has already represented his country at U19 level  and with the right commitment and guidance could well be a Test player of the future.  We wish Ben continued success in his career and for an outstanding 2010 season.”
